Day 3 — Module 4: Spatial Analysis & GeoLibre¶
Wednesday 8 July 2026 · Hybrid: IsDB HQ Jeddah + Online
Learning objectives¶
By the end of Day 3, participants will be able to:
- Apply basic spatial analysis operations — overlay, buffer, and zonal statistics — to an IsDB project scenario and describe what each operation reveals
- Use GeoLibre to open spatial files, apply a buffer, and explore data layers in the browser environment
- Download administrative boundary data from GADM or HDX, verify basic attributes, and import the file into a web GIS tool
- Complete the Minimum Project Data Submission Form for a known project, including a boundary file or coordinate pair and a relevant baseline year
- Select appropriate EO indicators for a project monitoring or evaluation scenario and state which project document each indicator would support
